"abandon normal devices" (and) is a yearly festival in manchester (uk) showing new cinema & digital culture. this year, one of the highlights is the work of belgian artist lawrence mastaf. malstaf is a performance & installation artist with a background in scenography & industrial design. his show at "and" - called "shrink" - is somewhere in between. it features vacuum wrapped people hung in galleries as 3 dimensional art works. check out some of his older work at his page on the galerie fortlaan 17 website.
