today - and the rest of the week - rotterdam is the place to be for art aficionados. this afternoon, re:rotterdam art fair opens its doors in lantarenvenster. re:rotterdam is an initiative from galerie 10 and claims to bring a "reply/ response/ reaction to certain practices within the art". its ambitious statement & a strong list of artists that approach art from a different angle certainly make us curious. you can see there, amongst others, 'spamlish' by niels post from trendbeheer, paintings by v&b, wild beaming by hester scheurwater and installations by marc bijl.
the official opening of art rotterdam fair starts at 6pm. an international selection of galeries show the best what they have to offer. top on our must-see list is torch gallery showing tinkebell's 'almost 18 (for your pleasure)' & the 'art babes' project of daan samson & jeronimus van pelt.
