niels post is the other mastermind behind trendbeheer (see also our post re jeroen bosch) with, next to a sharp eye for work of others, also has a pretty impressive production of his own. a central theme in his work is a creative use of public space. he received a wide media attention with e.g. his 'erasmus bridge 1' installation, for which he illegally placed a letterbox on the erasmus bridge in rotterdam, bearing the fictive address '1 erasmus bridge, rotterdam, 3072', which he claimed as his own. as a consequence, the international express and mail delivery company tnt was actually delivering mail to this address for a period of 9 weeks. after the mailbox was removed, it contained in total 122 delivered items.
