every tourist knows nelson's column at trafalgar square, but art lovers will definitely be more inspired by the fourth plinth commissions. the last 4 years some of the biggest sculptors have showed work - eg. marc quinn in 2005 or anthony gormley in 2009. this years fourth plinth competition has again a selection of brilliant artists: allora and calzadilla, mariele neudecker, brian griffiths, hew locke, elmgreen & dragset and katharina fritsch (her hahn/cock is pictured above). vote for your favorite @ the fourth plinth site.
