leroy & leroy @ the world expo shanghai 2010

as a part of the shanghai world expo 2010, an international sculpture exhibition opened last week @ the jing'an sculpture park. and the leroy brothers, a.k.a. LplusL, are - together with wim delvoye, jan fabre, arne quinze etc - amongst the 40 selected international artists! they present a white porcelain sculpture titled ostrich of lernae. with its head buried in the ground & its 9 heads coming out, it can be seen as a tong-in-cheek reference to the 'politics of the ostrich' and its die-hard character. the ostrich allegedly symbolizes europe... or does it? ;-)
great stunt, guys!!!
