showtime: thomas hirschhorn @ museum dhondt-dhaenens

today starts thomas hirschhorn's show "too too - much much", for which the swiss artist filled rooms of dhondt-dhaenens with fourteen truckloads of empty cans. visitors are offered boots to wade through all those smelly heaps of waste, which took more than two weeks to build. according to utopia parkway, who spoke with the artist earlier, hirschhorn had two themes in mind: ‘first of all: there are too many problems in this world we’re living in: too many wars, too much injustice and we consume too much. secondly, the title refers to the fact that an artist always wants to do too much.’ u can visit "too too – much much" till december 15.
not to miss!
