INDIVIDUAL U.S. REGIONAL ARTIST GRANTS

Here are a few regional arts councils—info taken from Cranbrook College of Art website. There are several deadlines coming up so check with your own state. I know that New Hampshire's grant is coming up for those of you out east. As far as how much each state is giving out this coming year, due to the crash, the amounts might have changed so please check the state website where you live.

Alabama
Alabama State Arts Council

The Alabama State Arts Council awards Artist Fellowships of $5,000 or $10,000 for Alabama artists working in crafts, dance, design, media/photography, music, literature, theater and the visual arts. Recipients may use funds to set aside time to create art, improve their skills, or to do what is most advantageous to enhance their artistic careers. Recipients must be residents of Alabama.

Arts Council Silicon Valley

Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism Artist Fellowship program is designed to encourage the continuing artistic development of Connecticut's finest creative artists who are seriously committed to their art form and who have a demonstrated history of professional activity in the state. The Individual Artist Grants ($100-$500) are designed to help strengthen an artist's career by taking advantage of arts related, short term opportunities.

Pew Fellowships in the Arts
