RIP Ján Mančuška (1972–2011)

The unfortunate news we came across last Friday and found hard to believe sadly proved to be true. The Slovak-born and Prague-based contemporary artist Ján Mančuška passed away in Prague last week after a long illness, aged 39. The artist received international acclaim for his experiments with film and video and the architecture in which they are installed. In 2004 he became the laureate of the Jindřich Chalupecký award for young visual artists. He represented the Czech Republic at the Venice Biennale in 2005.
RIP Ján!
